Why you can use this training
The aim of the workshop is to allow you, the delegate, to immediately implement what you have learned. The workshop is an extremely intensive introduction to using your organisation’s electronic presence. All aspects of this workshop are presented by using examples that are highly relevant to the delegates within the context of their own businesses.
By attending this practical training workshop you will get a very good overview of what electronic marketing can do for a small business and what will be applicable for you to use. You will get to know how to go about implementing e-marketing campaigns even if you haven’t done so before.
You will be able to judge what your electronic marketing campaigns will cost you and their likely return, as well as deciding what to keep in-house and what parts to outsource (and to whom).
All of this is done in a manner that is extremely practical and specifically designed for South African SMMEs.
The class size is limited to16 people to allow for individual attention. Please book early to ensure your place.
Basics covered in the 2B Electronic Marketing Workshop
An overview of the various technologies. What is available, what to expect and how to decide if you are getting value for your money. [We do NOT try to sell you a specific system, hosting or software.]
How to get visitors to your website.
What works, what doesn’t, and what you should be paying for it!
+ the basics of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
+ online advertising;
+ affiliation programmes;
+ links; and
+ getting visitors from off-line sources.
1. The contents of this workshop are geared to assisting the South African-based business and are NOT a rehash of USA-based ‘the secrets of’ style of marketing training.
2. We are not punting any specific product, affiliate programme, ISP, company, system or contract, but look at all of the technologies available and how you can judge for yourself which to use to suite your company’s needs. Where we have any form of partnership with a company in the electronic marketing field, we will openly tell you, so that you can make up your own mind about whether you would like to make use of their services or not.

Who should attend this training about electronic marketing…
This workshop is geared to the person in the non-corporate business who is responsible for overseeing your electronic marketing efforts and making decisions about your electronic marketing strategy.
The workshop’s aim is to help you make decisions about your e-marketing, not at making you an expert in any particular technical area. For example, we will not make you into a SEO expert, but we do go through a number of things that you can do yourself to get you a very good ranking in search engines – without having to pay thousands of Rands.
Your company probably already has a website (which may look fantastic, or need a lot of TLC) or is looking at getting one in the near future.
More about the 2B Electronic Marketing Workshop
The delegate will be given basic notes and references on all of the topics that are handled.
The workshop will be presented in English. You do not have to have any specific educational qualifications to attend this workshop. All you need is a basic understanding of how to use the internet and have an e-mail account that you use regularly.
About the presenter, Ann Williams…
The workshop presenter, Ann Williams, has been the Online Editor for Business Day newspaper and is currently the Founder and Editor of www.2BBiz.co.za which she designed, programmed, writes for and does the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for. This website is currently one of the top ranking SEO’d websites in South Africa and leaves other sites of its size trailing far behind.
Ann was also on the founding board of ABIS, the original South African online advertising association, as well as using electronic marketing extensively for the promotion of 2BBiz.co.za.
However, being a little bit of a cynic about the costs and impact of the electronic marketing that is done by large company websites and the mainstream media, she is continuously looking for smart ways in which smaller businesses and non-profit organisations can get massively effective results from this relatively cost-effective medium.
